Anna and Sampson

Anna and Sampson Part II

Today I caught Anna telling Sampson to sit. She was even using the hand motions that I use when I ask him to sit. Did he sit when she asked...yes he did. I think that the food in her hand was the ultimate motivation for him. Anna and Sampson have developed a very special friendship over the past 18 months. At first it was very rocky...the addition of Anna into our family meant that Sampson was no longer second in charge. He struggled...we struggled. Now that Anna is a source of food and loves throwing the ball I think that Sampson likes having her around. I know that Anna loves her big yellow dog. She loves to snuggle with him, ride him and she loves to tell him what to do.

Gardening with Grandma and Papa

Hello Cowgirl!

We've been visiting with Grandma and Papa all week and it's been so much fun. Anna loves her new bike and papa bought her a new easel...she's definitely a little artist! Her best friend Rowan came over on Thursday and Amy, his mom, and I went out with some friends for a couple of hours...our first time in awhile. Grandma and Papa had lots of fun playing with Anna and Rowan...they were wiped out when it was all over. Today Anna insisted on wearing her cowgirl boots that her Aunt Amy got her from Tenn. She had them on all morning and walked with an attitude...a cowgirl attitude. She even tried to saddle up on Sampson...didn't get a picture of that because he bucked her right off!

Mother's Day

Today we all had a wonderful Mother's Day. We spent the day with Amy, Chad, Rowan and Grandma Dee. Anna and Rowen had lots of fun together...as always. We went to a really nice nursery and then to Champoeg State Park for a picnic. It was a really nice day!

First Full Day with Grandma!

Today was the first full day with Grandma. Anna was so thrilled when she woke up...all smiles. Grandma was all smiles too! Grampa Philibin set some money with Grandma to spend on Anna so we decided that it would be best spent on her very first bike. We all worked on putting it together and then spent the afternoon riding around the neighborhood. She can't touch the pedals yet but loves wearing her helmet! It was a great first day!!!
